Summer is Here!

School is out. Daughter is graduated. Son has moved his things out of his room and into his new home. Parties are almost over (one more). My classroom is empty. Summer is here. And I am ready to get it started.
I have many plans for this summer. At the top of my list is to trade rooms with my bestest teacher buddy. Which we are doing, and hope to have completed by the end of the weekif the carpets get cleanedand if I don’t poop out before it gets donewhich I may.
Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure, and for my bragging pleasure. And then I am moving on from all the graduation and ending sorrow. Until August when daughter leaves for collegebut we’re not going there yetnot yettoo soon to worry about that.
That's my beautiful baby!

PhotobucketSummer is here. Time for relaxing, refreshing, reflecting, renewing, and revolvingI mean evolving. There will be no spinning in circles only progressing. And it starts today with my afternoon filled with READING my favorite summer pastime. Any suggestions for a good read?

  2. Congrats on making it all the way through Tammy. Love that happy pic of your daughter! Those rooms won't look like that for long! And-Adult-I just read The Snow Child. YA-I just finished See You At Harry's. But one of the recent bests is YA-Wonder. But really, I'm so envious, read anything & just enjoy! We aren't out until June 6th!

  5. Whew - it has been a whirlwind for you! But deep breath, time for the fun stuff! Time to read and relax a little and take time for you! Enjoy -- if you haven't read Wonder, read that first! Also, The One and Only Ivan is another great read.

  6. Thank you guys for the great suggestions I am off to Amazon!
And Tammy good luck! I had a little one come up to me the last two days of school and say "my mom said not to tell anyone I have bugs in my hair..." as she's hugging me. I asked if mom had put special shampoo on it and she said "yes but I don't like it because it smells like cat box!" I had to turn away so she could see me laughing.Good luck!

  9. It's amazing how quickly rooms can be emptied compared to setting up for the year. Enjoy your time with your daughter. Time will pass too quickly.
